>> Relief Catering Assistants for Westhill, Banchory, Portlethen, Stonehaven, Laurencekirk, Aboyne, Ballater Areas.
>> You are an enthusiastic and motivated team worker who has the ability to communicate well. You also have experience of working in a kitchen environment and in preparing and serving food. A certificate in basic hygiene and experience in working in an Aberdeenshire school kitchen is desirable, however full training will be provided and a uniform supplied.
>> This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An offer of employment by Aberdeenshire Council will be subject to the outcome of this check being satisfactory. The preferred candidate will also be required to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Check from other countries as deemed necessary. An offer of employment by Aberdeenshire will be subject to the outcome of this check being satisfactory.
Certain terms and conditions of service for this post may change under proposals to implement revised provisions, which the Council is to consult and negotiate on during February 2012.

>> Carry out general kitchen duties in Aberdeenshire Schools and Main Buildings
Main Tasks
- Operation of equipment
- Clean areas of kitchen
- Carry out simple food preparation & cooking (kitchen only)
- Perform cashier duties
- Handle customers
Hours per week: Variable, as and when required
Weeks per year: 52.18
Contract duration: Casual
