A belief in climate change as grounds for religious discrimination

Employers will now have to take into consideration that beliefs in respect to man-made climate change held by their employees may form the basis for claims of religious discrimination.
The EAT has held in Grainger Plc v Nicholson, that a belief in man-made climate change if held genuinely is capable of being interpreted as a philosophical belief and therefore protected under the Employment Equality (Religion and Belief) Regulations 2003.
The EAT held that the beliefs in communism, vegetarianism, Darwinism and free-market capitalism were also protected under the Regulations.
